Roadhouse Themed Video From Hot New Album “Lost Highway” Filmed in Chicago Suburb
Fans Lined Roosevelt Road Hoping to See Stars Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and More
August 1, 2007 (Berwyn, IL) – American rock icons Bon Jovi spent the day in Berwyn, recording a music video at FitzGerald’s Nightclub on Tuesday, July 31.
The video’s theme included the band hopping off the highway and onto a county road and then arriving at an old roadhouse, complete with pool playing patrons, biker babes, rusty license plates and cattle horns on the wall.
“This is our first real music video and it was interesting to watch it all come together,” said Bill FitzGerald, owner of the 27-year-old music venue, which has played host to several top bands including the Neville Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Mavis Staples and Los Lobos. “It’s amazing how much work goes into just a three or four minute video, but we are glad to be considered and enjoyed working with the crew.”
A growing number of female fans and their children stood in the heat with their digital cameras, waiting for a glimpse of Jon Bon Jovi as he walked from the club to his trailer. Even Berwyn mayor Michael O’Connor stopped by the club located at 6615 West Roosevelt Road to check out the action.
Other internationally known celebrities to film at FitzGerald’s include Madonna and Rosie O’Donnell (“A League of Their Own”), and Paul Newman and Tom Cruise (“The Color of Money”).
In June FitzGerald’s was transformed into a sixties-style Texas juke joint for Universal pictures pigskin biopic “The Express” staring Dennis Quaid.
FitzGerald’s offers an eclectic variety of live music including blues, jazz, rock, country, bluegrass, Americana, Cajun, world music and more, nightly Tuesday through Sunday. FitzGerald’s and Wishbone offer party facilities and service as well. For more information, please visit
